LOS ANGELES — (September 27, 2013) — Joe Moller, the Executive Director of Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk a non-profit 501 (c), announced today that he is leaving his position at the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk to focus on Joe Moller Events.
Mr. Moller, 38, was hired in December of 2010 in the role of Executive Director of the Downtown Art Walk, a monthly cultural event taking place predominantly in the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles.
“Moving on is bittersweet. Being responsible for an event of this size and magnitude was a position I thoroughly enjoyed. The many artists, community leaders, business owners and City employees that I had the opportunity to work with and get to know personally was tremendously rewarding,” says Joe Moller.
“On behalf of the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk Board of Directors we thank Mr. Moller for all his efforts. We are sure he will succeed and add value to any organization he works with,” says Roderick P. Aiken, Board Chair.
Qathryn Brehm, the current Director of Operations, will become Interim Director of Art Walk. Brehm, a lifelong artist who works in digital and mixed media, has been a resident of Downtown Los Angeles for over 20 years in the Arts District. For 7 years, she served as Director of Marketing & Community Relations for the Central City East Association.
“As an artist, I’m looking forward to increasing content-rich programming to Art Walk,” says Brehm.
The event takes place on the second Thursday of every month. The next Art Walk will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6-10pm. More information can be found at www.downtownartwalk.org.
