The vibrant fashion and diverse faces found on LA’s streets are revealed in this unique book intertwining fashion with real life. LA based photographer and downtown gallery owner, Carol Cirillo Stanley traveled the streets of Los Angeles for six months capturing the unique Angeleno style.

Thursday, December 12 from 12- 9 PM, The current show is “LA Lookbook, Faces and Fashion” , a contemporary photography exhibit.
Carol Cirillo-Stanley’s work is both realistic and abstract. Her subjects depict unexpected beauty in life’s common elements. Mannequins, her muse Lala abstract flower designs, city-scapes, sidewalk fair, and vacant landscapes appear in her portfolios.
“The Collections” featuring Lala wearing clothing made from the pages of the New York Times, Crate and Barrel wrapping paper, cheesecloth and other “found” designer fabrics, have recently had solo exhibits in Los Angeles at The Fine Arts Building and at the Millinery Guild. Cirillo-Stanley has been a featured artist at the Sara Palacios Gallery, Los Angeles, Women in Photography International, Irvine Fine Arts Center and the Georgia Okeefe Museum.
Cirillo-Stanley uses both digital and film. She does her own printing and framing. With a Bachelor’s Degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree from California State University, Long Beach. She teaches photography to grade school students in a program she developed called “Fuzzy Pickles”!
She has authored three books; “The LA Lookbook”, “A Year in LA”; and “The Collections”, and sells them in her studio gallery on 9th and Main. All proceeds from the “LA Lookbook” go to local charities.
