The Arty. Jeffrey Vincent Parise’s studio showcases a collection of acrylic and oil works on canvas, and is open every month for Art Walk festivities. Past exhibits include “Man Vs. Blackstone Gallery. “Fast Food Paintings” feat. Mr. Lets Paint. A performance installation from Mr. Lets Paint, a contemporary artist from Southern California,  the exhibition promises an “interactive performance installation that mends the glitz and glamour of a fastfood restaurant with the magic of a painter covered in oil paint.” Opening reception: Dec. 12th, 6pm to 10pm. Carol Cirillo Stanley Studio Gallery. CB1 Gallery. “Chthonic Garden.” Painter Mira Schor presents her second solo exhibition of works at CB1, exploring with a series of new paintings and drawings  “the terms of contemporary psychic, theoretical, and economic spaces as they affect creativity.” Runs through December 8th.
“Ni Tanto Que Queme al Santo, Ni Tanto Que No Lo Alumbre”. Previous CB1 collaborator Lorenzo Hurtado Segovia showcases his new works using acrylics and combining history, art styles, and cultures. DAC Gallery. “Assembly.” To ring out 2013, DAC will exhibit  “a collection of over one hundred works in various mediums by a collection of artists from the ECF Art Centers Program, which mentors over one hundred fifty artists with special needs. MOCA. “Bob Mizer & Tom of Finland.” MOCA presents their first museum exhibition devoted to the art and collaborations between Bob Mizer and Touko Laaksonen, seen as “towering figures of twentieth century erotic art and legendary pioneers of Post-war gay culture.” Runs through Jan. 26th.
